                       Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

In November 2023, Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy transition from a non-reimbursement food program to became a member of the National School Lunch Program.  Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy was approved for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.

This approval meant that all of our cadets each breakfast, lunch and afterschool snacks free of charge, regardless of household income levels.  We are dedicated to feed as many of our cadets as possible under the CEP program. Because these meals are free of charge to our cadets, we need your support in encouraging them to eat the meals offered at the school.

The CEP is a new alternative to the traditional meal application process associated with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs. CEP alleviates the burden on families by eliminating household applications, while helping schools reduce costs associated with collecting and processing those applications.
