Superintendent

The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy Board of Trustees has named Dr. Jason M. Wray as the next Superintendent of North Carolina's only public charter military school starting January 2022 to succeed Mrs. Keisha White.

We are extraordinarily pleased with the outcomes of this search process. In the end, Dr. Wray proved himself the best fit to carry forward the vision of the Academy. His experience as a United States Army Warrant Officer, JROTC instructor, Assistant Principal and Principal along with his track record of driving academic excellence at East Bladen High School over the past 7 years, along with his passion for working with students and families of our community, demonstrates his capability to succeed in this new role.  We feel that with Dr. Wray driving academic instruction our Cadets will have the best education possible in North Carolina.

My focus moving forward as Superintendent of The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy is to keep the Cadets first place and the center of our purpose.  We are going to take them places they never dreamed of.  We know we. have some challenges ahead, but we will address those with Collective Efficacy.  We declare that today is a new day at The Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy.  I want to thank and praise God for this opportunity.  It is also because of the great work accomplished by the students and staff at East Bladen High School over the past seven years that I am able to be entrusted with such a great responsibility.  I know without them supporting me throughout my journey this day would not be possible.  I thank God for them.  Also, we want parents and the community to know that Paul R.
